"Ice-house beneath tree-covered mound. Early C19. Brick-lined passage and ice- well with stone outer doorway. 2 steps down to square-headed, rock-faced doorway. Short L-plan passage, with segmental barrel vault, leads to a boarded door and into a large, sunken cylindrical ice-well with elongated side walls....." -
