Footbridge over Gill Beck

  • Description

"Although most people walking from Lartington to Cat Castle will use the old railway track bed, there is also a footpath through the fields just west. While the railway remains level and crosses Gill Beck on a big embankment, the footpath drops down and crosses the beck by this well-built footbridge, which is almost the only way of recognising the path on the ground, as it is so little used as to leave no mark on the grass."
