This is a photograph of the Heugh Lighthouse in Hartlepool. This is a pre-Bombardment image of the lighthouse. On Wednesday 16th December 1914, the German Navy attacked Hartlepool. The Heugh Gun Battery was placed near by and was the first main target of the German battle cruisers.
