    "Country House (now used as adult training centre). Late C.19. Rock-faced sandstone in narrow courses; ashlar dressings; hipped clay patent-tile roof; 4 stacks. French Renaissance style. 2 storeys. Eaves cornice with scrolled acanthus leaf modillions. String band at first floor sill level. Central projecting single-storey entrance porch with paired Doric pilasters and double 3- panelled doors. Above, on first floor, is a sculptured achievement of arms (J.G. Swan)..."
