    "Built in 1911 to the designs of Newcombe & Newcombe but broadly faithful to the style established by Richard Grainger, e.g. 34-42 Pilgrim Street, Newcastle. Grade II listed. The retail space had been occupied by a furniture shop, Chapmans, but they had gone and the space was empty at the time of photo."
