Jesmond dene

  • Description

As a family we used to go for walks and picnics to jesmond dene which is a public park in the east end of Newcastle Upon Tyne . It has a small stream called the Ouseburn. The park was given to the city by William Armstrong ! Jesmond dene also has a petting zoo . My mam has great memories of going there with me , my sister and my dad and she can remember going there with her parents . In the summer we had picnics on the grass . In the autumn we collected conkers from the horse chestnut trees and in the winter the scenery is beautiful in the snow . We are ao luckey to have somewhere so beautiful on our door step !
