    Type : Reprographic copy Description : A 1887 newspaper copy of an engraving of a model of the Medieval Tyne Bridge in The Royal Jubilee Exhibition Newcastle upon Tyne. The bridge has been built across a lake and is two-thirds of the original size. The view is looking from the Newcastle side of the bridge across to the Gateshead side. Other buildings in the exhibition can be seen to the left and behind the bridge.The Medieval Tyne Bridge was in use from approximately 1250 to 1771.Bridges Collection : Local Studies Source of Information : The newspaper cuttings were donated in 1923.
