    Type : Lantern Slide Description : A view of the exterior of St. Anne's Church City Road Newcastle upon Tyne taken c.1912. The photograph is looking across to the main entrance of the church. There is a pedimented portico of four columns in front of the entrance. The clock tower is rectangular with an urn at each corner. The tower then becomes octagonal with an octagonal spire. Five arched windows are visible on the left-hand side of the church.St. Anne' Church was designed by William Newton and built between 1764-68.
