    Type : Lantern Slide Description : A view of the Side Newcastle upon Tyne taken in 1891/2. The photograph shows a row of buildings on the Side. The building in the centre of the row is derelict with a newsagent's shop to the left and Lockhart's Cocoa Rooms to the right. Collection : Local Studies Source of Information : Newsagents at no.35 advertises 'Letts Diary' for 1892. Building now on the site of no.37-39 (now Bentham Buildings) dated 1892. Photograph taken in winter (snow has fallen) so late 1891 or early 1892.
