The view shows a row of three shops which have their awnings pulled down over the windows. The first shop in the foreground to the left is the premises of 'Robert Clark' an optician the second is 'The Emporium' selling jewellery and the third is a shoe shop. The front of the building above 'The Emporium' is covered in an advert promoting the discount jewellery which the shop is selling.
