The photograph is taken from a tall building beyond the Swing Bridge. In the foreground part of the roof of the old Fish Market can be seen then the buildings between the Swing and the Tyne Bridges. In the distance to the right the buildings at the Gateshead end of the Tyne Bridge can be seen. Two ships are moored at the Gateshead Quayside.
