The photograph shows the interior of a furnished sitting room. A table with a flower arrangement on it is in the foreground. In the centre a woman is sitting in one of the two armchairs on either side of an electric fire. There are ceramic tiles around the fire with a wooden fire surround. An electric lamp stands at one end of the mantelpiece. There is an oval mirror above the fireplace. A bureau is to the left of the woman with a framed print above.
