Central Plaza Hotel, Victoria Viaduct - December 2016

  • Description

"Built in 1880 as the Great Central Hotel, this later became the Central Plaza Hotel. Under State ownership from October 1916 until 1973, the hotel closed in October 2004 and has descended into dereliction. There are plans for restoration, but the current work is remedial action by the Council to prevent structural collapse. Grade II listed, the building's future remains uncertain."
