Memorial for James Robert Creighton (1844–1896), Mayor of Carlisle (1880–1881 & 1888–1889)

    "This memorial consists of a three-sided decorative plinth, and tapered column, on top of which stands a stone figure of Saint George and the dragon. On the plinth is a bas-relief portrait of the late mayor in a bronze medallion surrounded by a wreath and scrolls in high relief, the other two sides bearing the inscriptions. The top of the plinth is also highly decorated with images of scrolls and the arms of Carlisle...."
