Dalegarth Hall, Eskdale

  • Description

"Dalegarth Hall with frosty ground and the last of the autumn colours. According to a website quoting Hutchinson's "History of Cumberland" 1793, Dalegarth Hall was the ancient manor house of Awsthwaite, home of the Stanley family. The date 1599 and other information can be found on the ceiling of the 24 x 21 foot dining room." Photo by Andrew Hill, 2005.
