    "Metal post with attached metal plates by the A65, in parish of HOLME (SOUTH LAKELAND District), Half Penny turn, 150m North West of Storth End farmhouse, on grass verge at T-junction with Cockridge Lane, on East side of road. Winder iron casting, erected by the Heronsyke & Eamont Bridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : BURTON / 7 / MILES : : 1826 : : KENDAL / 4 / MILES : Grade II Listed.
