Ferryhill

  • Description

Newcastle-bound Northern General 1768 leaves Ferryhill around 1960. The Leyland PD2/Park Royal was new in 1957, passing to Lloyd, Bagillt in 1971. Of the three pubs visible in the picture, both The Post Boy and The Greyhound (just behind the bus) have survived, the Bay Horse is long-gone. Scanned from an acquired 35mm negative, photographer unknown.
