School House at Leadgate

  • Description

"School House at Leadgate near to Alston. The union flags must be there to commemorate the 75th. anniversary of D-Day. The sheep is probably a variation on the popular theme of 'scarecrow' making that occurs in villages. The note attached to the gate reads..."I was just out for a spot of essential shopping officer'; a (presumably) jovial reference to the requirement to 'Stay Home' during the covid-19 epidemic on-going at the time."
