Memorial to Joseph Gibson and family, Church of Saint Mary, Thornthwaite

    "An inscribed marble memorial plaque on the south wall of the nave of Thornthwaite Church. The text on the memorial reads: IN MEMORY OF JOSEPH GIBSON, OF POWTER HOWE, DIED 18 NOVEMBER 1810, AGED 60 YEARS. DINAH HIS WIFE, DIED 18TH MARCH 1847, AGED 77 YEARS. DANIEL THEIR SON, DIED 26TH JANY 1846, AGED 50 YEARS. GRACE THEIR DAUGHTER, DIED 6TH MARCH 1867, AGED 68 YEARS. A memorial plaque of the same design is located on the opposite side of the nave in memory of John Fisher and his family." Photo by Graham Robson, 2014.
