Myers Head Mine

  • Description

"Located at the confluence of Pasture Beck and Hayeswater Gill, Myers Head Mine operated for just twelve years in the late 19th century. Lead, zinc and pyrite was gained but the mine was prone to flooding. In an attempt to drain the mine a water wheel was constructed, the remains of which are the most obvious remains."
