Railway Viaduct
The viaduct just north west of Lesbury carries the railway over the River Aln in Northumberland. The viaduct has 18 arches and was built in 1848/1849 by Robert Stephenson for the York, Newcastle and Berwick Railway. Today it carries the East Coast main line railway. The viaduct is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
