Old Milestone, A7, Stanwix

This old milestone in Stanwix is located by the A7 road, close to it's junction with Brampton Road, just north of Eden Bridge. The milestone was erected by the Kingstown & Westlinton Bridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. The milestone has a carved benchmark on top. It is on the Devonshire Terrace stretch of the A7 road, just before it becomes Scotland Road.
