Old All Saints Church, Skelton

The old All Saints Church in Skelton-in-Cleveland was built c1785, on site of an earlier medieval church.[1] The secluded church, located east of the village, is set in parkland with views to Skelton Castle. The church was replaced by the new Church of All Saints in Skelton, built in a more central location in 1885; the larger church was built at a time when the population of Skelton had grown substantially in association with ironstone mining. The old church is maintained by the Churches Conservation Trust.[2] The old church is Grade II* listed on the National Heritage List for England.
