The Broad Chare (public house)


No. 25B, Broad Chare, Newcastle was originally built as a warehouse in the late 18th or early 19th century. The building, with 3 storeys and 5 bays, is of English garden wall bond brick. It features a central wagon door below Dutch loading doors on the two upper floors. The building had previously hosted John Watson And Sons Ltd. Later, it was part of Live Theatre, until this moved to the adjacent building. Since 2011, it has been The Broad Chare public house. The building is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
