Monkton Hall


Monkton Hall Hospital is located off Monkton Lane in Monkton Village, Jarrow. It was originally a large house, built in the late 18th Century (rainwater head is dated 1763). The building is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England. Monkton Hall Hospital hosts services such as Psychiatry, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Elmville Unit (short stay service) and other learning disability services. These are part of South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust.
