Hotbank Farm

Hotbank is a farm in Northumberland, situated by Hotbank Crags, to the east of Crag Lough. Hotbank is on Hadrian's Wall and is close to the site of Milecastle 38. The Hadrian's Wall Path and Pennine Way run close to the farm. In Whellan's 1855 directory of Northumerland, Hotbank is listed under Ridley Township, in the ancient parish of Haltwhistle - at that time, the farmers were listed as James Little and Robert Armstrong.[1] Today, Hotbank is part of Bardon Mill Civil Parish.
