High Heaton LibraryThe community branch library in High Heaton is located on Newton Place, off Newton Road. The current building was completed in September 2008, following a major redevelopment. This replaced a circular building of c.1967 and before that the library was based in a wooden building.

Co-Curate is a project which brings together online collections, museums, universities, schools and community groups to make and re-make stories and images from North East England and Cumbria.
