Hawkshead Hill Baptist Chapel

Hawkshead Hill Baptist Chapel and Chapel House are located on the B5285 road, in Hawkshead Hill. In 1709 William Dennyson registered his cottage as a meeting place; this is the current location of the chapel. In 1721 the chapel was given over for the sole use of the Baptists.[1] In 1876 the building was renovated and the present windows date from that time. The chapel has a graveyard andd an open air baptistry. In 2009 the congregation held special 300th Anniversary Celebrations. Hawkshead Hill Baptist Chapel and adjoining house is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
