Glen View and Old Smithy, Oxen Park

Glen View is a house in Oxen Park, with an attached outbuilding which was a former smithy (blacksmiths). It has a stone dated 1697 with initials(probably: "MP") above the date, and with 3 nails to side, and hammer, pincers and horseshoe below. The datestone is a rare example of a 17th century trade sign. The building is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.[1]
