Dinnington First School

Dinnington First School is located on Sycamore Avenue in Dinnington, Newcastle. The school has about 160 pupils aged 3 to 9.[1] Education in Dinnington can be traced back to 1719, when Richard Coates of Horton Grange bequeathed money to the Parish of Ponteland to establish a charity school.[2] The current school building was opened in 1964, and has since been further enlarged. It replaced the old school building of 1871, located on Main Road.
