Church of St. Michael, Low Warden

The Church of St. Michael & All Saints is located in Low Warden, Northumberland. This is one of the oldest places of worship in Northumberland still standing, with the tower dating from the Saxon times and an 11th century arch connecting the tower and nave. The arch is thought likely to utilise Roman stones. The transepts date fro the 13th century, the south porch was added in 1765, and chancel in 1889. The Church is Grade I listed on the National Heritage List for England. In the churchyard is a 7th century Saxon Cross (also Grade I listed). The Lych Gate dates from 1903 (Grade II listed).
