Church of St Bega, Bassenthwaite


The parish church of St Bega's, is located close to Church Bay of Bassenthwaite Lake, located about 2 miles south of the village of Bassenthwaite. The church originates from Medieval times, possibly as early as the 10th century; it's font dates from the 14th century.[1] It was restored in 1874 by Messrs S. Watson of Penrith.[2] St Bega's is Grade II* listed on the National Heritage List for England.
