Church of St Bartholomew


St Bartholomew's Church in Whittingham dates from the 12 century. The chancel was rebuilt in c.1725 and the church was extensively rebuilt in 1840 by John Green for the Rev. Goodenough. In 1871, the chancel was extended and gothicized by F.R. Wilson. The vestry was added in 1906. Some section of 12th and 13th century masonary remain. St Barts is a Grade I listed building on the National Heritage List for England.
