Church of St Barnabas, Setmurthy


St Barnabas' Church in Setmurthy was built in 1794 on the site of an earlier 13th century church. It was originally a chapel of ease to St Bridget's Church and part of the Ancient Parish of Brigham. From 1866 it became a ParishChurch and was restored n 1870. Various brass wall plaques mostly to the Fisher and Hoskins family of nearby Higham Hall. The carved pedestal font in the baptistery is dated 1661 with initials VMB. St Barnabas' Church is a Grade II listed building on the National Heritage List for England.
