Castle Street
Castle Street is one of the main streets in the centre of Carlisle. It runs from the Market Place in a north-westerly direction towards Carlisle Castle. Along the west side of the street is Carlisle Cathedral, which dates from the 12th century. Towards the north end of the street is Tullie museum and gallery. There are many other notable buildings on the street, including The Boardroom (C17th) and 21 Castle Street (C18th).
