Bridge over Lewis Burn, The Forks
The bridge carrying Bloody Bush Road over Lewis Burn, is located near The Forks in Kielder Forest. It was built in 1829 for Sir J. Swinburn. The single broad segmental arch has a panel on it's north side inscribed: "ERECTED by Sir J.E. Swinburn Bt. of CAPHEATON under the direction of James Wilson of Greena AD 1829"
The bridge was built as part of a private toll road route which opened in 1828. The bridge is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
