Blagdon Hall

Blagdon Hall is a privately owned country house situated off the Old A1 road in Northumberland. The current Hall was built in two phases between 1730 and 1752. The Blagdon Estate has been owned by the Ridley family since 1698 and is known for its extensive grounds, which feature follies, temples, and statues, and was significantly landscaped by Sir Edwin Lutyens in the 1930s. The Hall underwent a major restoration after a fire in 1944. Public access to the estate is limited, but occasionally opens for charity fundraising days. Blagdon Hall is a Grade I listed building on the National Heritage List for England.
