Bedlington Station Primary School

Bedlington Station Primary School is located on School Road in Bedlington Station. The school has about 240 pupils aged 3 to 11.[1] The school was originally built in 1912 and previously named Bedlington Station County First School. Before this, an all age Church of England School had been built at Bedlington Station in October 1856. This later became Bedlington Colliery Council School, but as Bedlington grew, this became very overcrowded - so the council built Bedlington Station County First School to help cope with the growing number of children in the district.[2,3]
