Barmpton


Barmpton is a village in the Borough of Darlington and the ceremonial county of County Durham. It is situated by the River Skerne and located about 2 miles north-west of the centre of Darlington. Most of the dwellings are along Barmpton Lane, with Barmpton Hall and farm located at the west end of the village. Historically, Barmpton was a township, in the ancient parish of Haughton-le-Skerne. Today, the village and surrounding area form Barmpton Civil Parish.
