Barber Surgeons Hall
The former Barber Surgeon's Hall is located on Houston Street in the Summerhill area of Newcastle. It was built in c.1850 by John Dobson for the Company of Barber Surgeons. The building had a high gambrel-shaped lantern for throwing light on dissecting table in it's demonstration room. Later the building became part of a church school. The building is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for Newcastle.
