Appletree Shield Chapel

The ruins of Appletree Shield Primitive Methodist chapel stand on a tongue of land between two shallow gorges, at the confluence of Wellhope Burn and Mohope Burn. It is to the north-west of Appletree Shield farm (now also in ruins). The chapel was built in 1829.
