Abbot Holme, Cumbria


Abbot Holme is a hamlet in Cumbria, situated by the River Dee, close to it's confluence with the River Rawthey. It is located just under 1 mile south-west of Sedbergh and 8 miles north of Kirkby Lonsdale. Abbot Holme Bridge, over the Dee, dates from the 17th Century. The hamlet consists primarily of two farmhouses; the East house dates from the mid-18th century, and the West house is older. Both houses are listed buildings. Sedbergh Golf Club borders Abbot Holme.
