Whitley Bay Boat Compound

"There is a small boat compound at Whitley Bay where a number of recreational/hobby fishermen keep their small boats. These normally only go to sea in the summer months and in the finer weather. Most are mainly angling but a couple also have up to 5 pots in." (Northumberland Inshore Fisheries & Conservation Authority, 2011). The compound is located about half a mile north of the Rendezvous Cafe and half a mile south-west of St Mary's Lighthouse.
