War Memorial, Cornforth
The war memorial in Cornforth is located outside the Thrislington Colliery Aged Mine Workers Homes on Vicarage Road. It was unveiled on the 15th of November 1924 by Richard A. Pease and dedicated by Rev. T.F. Fyffe. The memorial is dedicated to 107 servicemen from the parish who lost their lives in the First World War. The names of 24 men were added after the Second World War. The memorial is Grade II listed.
