The War Memorial in Broughton-in-Furness is located outside of the Church of Mary Magdalene. The memorial was unveiled on the 3rd April 1921 in a service attended by Mr G.H. Parkinson. The memorial commemorates 18 local servicemen who lost their lives in the First World War. The memorial was also later inscribed with the names of 10 local men who were killed in the Second World War.[1]
