War Memorial, Bardon Mill

The war memorial at Bardon Mill is a tall Celtic style wheel cross, on a square three stepped plinth, located on the Village Green. The memorial was unveiled by Lady Bowes-Lyon on the 25th July 1920, to commemorate 22 local men who lost their lives in the First World War. The names of 7 servicemen killed in the Second World War were added to the memorial after that conflict. The memorial is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
