Town Hall, Cockermouth


The Town Hall is a Georgian building is located on Market Street in Cockermouth. It was originally built as a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel in c.1840. It was converted to use as a Town Hall in 1934 after a new Methodist Church was built on Lorton Street. The building is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England. The building has been used for various purposes over the years. At one time it hosted the Tourist Information Office. Today, it serves as a Wedding venue as well as other functions.
