The Lowther Arms, Mawbray
The Lowther Arms is a public house in Mawbray, Cumbria. The first record of the pub was in the 1847 Cumberland Directory. It is now a community-owned pub that reopened in June 2021 after residents raised £250,000 to save it. Following a closure in December 2018, the Lowther Arms Community Project (LACP) purchased the building, restoring it as a hub for the local community and visitors. The pub provides food and also has camping available April-October.
