The Courtyard


Nos. 5 and 7, Fairbank ('The Courtyard') in Kirkby Londale were built in 1811 as a large house planned symmetrically in four bays around an entrance to a courtyard. It was built for Alexander Nowell as his house until Underley Hall was constructed. The Courtyard is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.
