Stanley Cottage Drift Mine


The drift mine opened in 1955. Working the Harvey seam, there were 184 people employed at the mine in 1964 (158 working below ground, 26 on the surface).[1] Stanley Cottage Drift Mine closed in May 1968, with the loss of 156 jobs.
